If I don't qualify for any scholarships, what options do I have?

Know that the money you are spending to volunteer is usually money well spent, even if there are no scholarships available to you at the moment. The organizations appreciate your time and effort tremendously, but it is your financial support that allows them to continue operating.

Think of the money you donated and the hours you volunteered as a one-two punch for the program you support. It’s always nice when the program cost also covers necessities like food and lodging.

ADDITIONAL MEANS OF SUPPORTING YOUR VOLUNTEER WORK:

  • If you want to try crowdsourcing, go ahead. GoFundMe is a fantastic platform for raising awareness about your cause and interacting with people who may be eager to help you financially.
  • Hold functions to raise money. Raising money for a good cause is easy when you rally your community around a common activity, like a bake sale, happy hour, or fun run.
  • Join a no-cost volunteer organization. Some volunteer opportunities may appear pricey, but the reality is that many others cost nothing at all. Keep in mind that in most cases, you’ll have to foot the bill for your own lodging and food.
